The M6 USB is Numark’s new four-channel USB DJ mixer designed to work with any standard audio source, as well as PCs and Macs via USB. There is three-band EQ and LED metering on each channel, while the fourth channel also comes with a dedicated XLR microphone channel and a secondary mic input. The M6 USB also comes equipped with a replaceable, assignable crossfader with slope control and balanced outputs.

American DJ updated its P64 LED par can. The new model, called the P64 LED Plus, features Master/Slave capabilities, a color strobe effect, 0-100 percent dimming, a 30-degree beam angle, built-in microphone and both fast and slow color change operation. The P64 LED Plus can operate in 4 modes—Sound Active, Active, RGB and DMX Control—and has 151 red, green and blue LEDs.

Ortofon and Serato teamed up to introduce the Ortofon-Serato S-120 DJ Cartridge. The S-120 features a new cantilever suspension and is optimized for use with Serato Scratch Live DJ software. According to the company, the cartridge uses 4.0 gms of vertical tracking force to achieve 50 percent greater tracking ability than standard DJ cartridges. The S-120 is available in two versions: the Concorde, which comes with “an extra weight to take advantage of the superior tracking ability of the Ortofon-Serato S-120 Stylus,” and the OM, which comes with “matching custom head-shell with graphics that allow for easy mounting.”

Yak Pak’s new DJ bag has three exterior pockets, as well as a side pocket and an additional pocket under the flap of the interior organizer panel. Tannoy added two new models to its line of Reveal studio monitors. The 501a is an active monitor equipped with a 60W integrated amplifier, five-inch LF/MF driver and one-inch soft dome tweeter. The 601a, which can also be ordered as a 601p passive monitor, comes with a 6.5-inch LF/MF driver and one-inch soft dome tweeter. It offers a total power output of 90W.

The Xone XD-40 headphones from Allen & Heath feature a closed cup design the company says “provides good isolation from ambient noise and minimal bleed.” The headphones can handle up to 1.3W of power and sport an earpiece that swivels at a 90-degree angle. The Q-Spot 260-LED moving yoke from Chauvet has two gobo wheels—one with nine fixed gobos plus open and the other with seven rotating “slot-n-lock” gobos plus open. The djay Remote app from algoriddim turns the iPhone or iPod Touch into a DJ controller. The app syncs with algoriddim’s Mac-based djay software via WiFi. This allows users to play and mix tracks from iTunes, work two turntables individually, scratch and cue music in real-time and control effects, looping, skipping and cue points. The app comes with an Auto Mix function, as well as EQ and volume controls.

Peavey’s Impulse 12D powered loudspeaker enclosure features a true ribbon driver and a 12-inch Peavey Black Widow loudspeaker complete with dual voice coil, push-pull technology and a neodymium magnet.
