American Audio Adds To Q-Series

The Q-MX1 and Q-MX2BPM are two new additions to American Audio’s Q-Series. Offering Fader Q Start and designed for scratching, both of these mixers have a selectable crossfader curve and a Feather Fader Plus for smoother and faster crossfades. This feature has VCA voltage control that has a voltage signal that operates the fader, rather than mechanical sliders, so no matter how hard you scratch, you won’t wear out any sliders. Both mixers have three channels, three phono lines, 4 lines and 3 mics and have balanced XLR outputs so they can be hooked directly into powered speakers. One of the Q-MX2BPM’s new features is the Auto Trans Effect, which, when you hold down the crossfader assign button, lets you create a “stuttering” effect. Another feature is an automatic BPM display, push-button kill switches for bass, mid and treble so when all three switches are on, the output is 100-percent. Both mixers are designed to be used with the Pro Scratch 1 single CD player.
