With the introduction of its 250+ model, Martin Professional has updated its MAC 250 profile spot luminaire. All colors in the 12 slot color wheel can be replaced, gobos can be indexed, and an achromatic lens offers sharper image quality. Both versions of the lighting effect are now available, each designed for different uses. The MAC 250 is best used as an effect fixture for mid-air gobo designs, while the 250+ offers higher quality optics for projections of the gobos against flat surfaces.

The Minilyzer from Neutrik

The Minilyzer, a palm-sized audio analyzer from Neutrik, is the latest in the company’s Minstruments line. Pull down menus make it easy to measure audio levels as RMS or peak levels. Results are displayed as either numerical values, a bar graph or a curve, on a high resolution 100 x 64 pixel backlit LCD. TASCAM’s new MX-2424 digital hard disk audio recorder offers 24-track recording, playing and editing at a list price of under $4,000.
