The latest Traktor software update is giving everyone the chance to get more familiar with Native Instruments’ Stem audio file format.
The free update is available now to all Traktor users and implements the Stem View directly into the program’s Stem Decks, making it possible to control Stems with any Traktor setup or third-party controller. The in-app Stem View is adapted from the hardware display version present on the Traktor Kontrol S8, S5, and D2, providing a clear, color-coded overview of a track’s four Stems and control over the multi-channel elements of the track. Additionally, Traktor Kontrol S4 controllers are now officially Stems-ready, allowing users hands-on control of the files.
To kick off the expansion, Traktor owners can now download 1.5 GB of free Stems tracks from Native-Instruments.com. Online retailers Beatport, Juno, Traxsource, Wasabeat, and whatpeopleplay are ach offering 25% their Stems catalogs until February 29.
