With there being no shortage of talent in the world of electronic dance music, DJ Times has started a new monthly series where we will showcase some of the finest up-and-coming artists who we’d like to consider in the on-deck circle because we believe they’re next up! In case you missed it, click here to check out the November’s inaugural edition.
(For those who don’t know, the on-deck circle is a baseball term that refers to being next in line to bat.)
Emerging onto the scene seemingly overnight with a bevy of impeccable remixes drenched in their retro, 80s-inspired production style, Midnight Kids have pumped new life into what is often described as a “stale” electronic music scene. Going against the grain when it comes to latching onto what’s hot, these two choose to live by a singular statement: “We are all Midnight Kids. Let’s tell our story together.”
Still a mystery throughout the electronic space, the mysterious KLOUD has proven to be a force to be reckoned with serving up a number of impressive original and remixes. While there is little known about this anonymous talent producer, there is no denying they can produce with the best of them.
With there being no shortage of talent when it comes to the world of bass music, LICK has quickly separated himself from the rest of the pack with a menacing, darkened production style that simply can’t be ignored. Already becoming a fan favorite amongst Zed’s Dead’s Deadbeats community, this unholy mastermind is a man on a mission.
Having quite the coming out party throughout 2018 (literally), KANDY has received high praises from industry elites Diplo, Marshmello and The Chainsmokers looking to ride his momentum well into the new year. Bring as versatile as they come; no genres are off limits when it comes to this New York native who looks to continue to electrify the festival circuit and pride events throughout 2019.
Looking to pump new life into the genre of electro, HVDES’ relentless and sinister tunes have begun to make some serious waves throughout the scene. Hailing from the darkest realm of bass music, she looks to pave her way to the top by playing by her own rules. Stray away from the light and indulge in the darkness!
