Are you looking to cash in on your DJ talents via live-streaming? Does the idea of raising your public profile appeal to you? Then, DJ Expo (DJX) has a pair of sessions that no DJ should miss!

In case you hadn’t noticed, the Twitch video-live-streaming platform became one of the biggest DJ-related developments during pandemic’s lockdown period. And it’s gotten so popular that some live-streaming DJs are using the platform to make a name for themselves – and many are even supplementing their incomes by engaging new followers, growing their fanbases, and eventually getting bigger gigs.

Set for Aug. 9-12 at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City, DJX ’21 will present two discussions that reveal how you, too, can use the platform to great success. (And stay tuned for details on a Twitch Tuesday Event on Aug. 10.)

Live-Streaming: Partnering & Twitching to the Top

Moderated by longtime Boston DJ/VJ Joshua Carl, this panel of Twitch Partner DJs will explain how the platform has been key to their success. Topics include: integrating live-streaming to your current business model; how to generate revenue off and on the platform; how to make Partner status on Twitch and build viewership; live-streaming remotely – hardware & software; must-have apps and software; and tips, tricks and secrets of Open Broadcaster Software (OBS). Session set for Tuesday, Aug. 10.

Expanding Your Brand with Twitch: One DJ’s Success Story

Like most DJs, Mike Márquez‘s club gigs dried up during the pandemic. However, utilizing the global audience of Twitch, the NYC-based DJ landed sponsorships with some of the industry’s biggest companies, gained opportunities to play on radio stations across the country, and interviewed some of the world’s biggest DJs with his “DJs After Dark” show on Twitch. His utilization of Twitch also has brought his post-pandemic bookings back in a big way.

In his info-filled session, Márquez will show you the keys to his success, and explain how you can utilize the streaming platform to further enhance your brand and optimize your exposure, not only to your current fanbase, but to a global audience. Session set for Wednesday, Aug. 11.
