Atlantic City, N.J. – OK, DJs—it’s time to mark your calendars.
The 2014 dates for DJ Expo are here: DJ Expo will return to the the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, N.J., August 11 to 14.
As always, DJ Expo—produced by DJ Times and its publisher Testa Communications—will present demo rooms and an exhibit hall full of the latest DJ-related products, including pro-audio gear, software, lighting and accessories from the market’s major manufacturers and distributors. Exhibits will run at the Trump Taj Mahal’s Mark G. Etess Arena from Aug. 12-14—Tuesday through Thursday.
Additionally, DJ Expo will present more than 25 industry panel sessions and workshops, with topics finely honed for club and mobile DJs, plus music-making jocks of all stripes. Whether it’s about new technologies, performance, music, studio tips or marketing, DJ Expo sessions will enhance the career of any participating jock. DJ Expo exhibitors will offer sponsored seminars and workshops as well.
Sponsored evening events are also on tap. In addition to club events, like Skribble’s always-hot Ego Lounge blowout, expect to see the best of the Mobile Nation get busy in the annual “DJ of the Year” competition. Plus, one lucky DJ Expo attendee will win the annual “Ultimate DJ Giveaway,” which includes gear from a variety of leading manufacturers.
The 2013 DJ Expo, held this past Aug. 12-15, drew a record 6,400 attendees who visited more than 200 exhibitor booths from more than 100 companies. With its 28th show in 23 years, DJ Expo ’13 saw participation from exhibitor/sponsors like ADJ, Pioneer DJ, Mackie, Chauvet, Rane, Stanton DJ and QSC Audio, among many others.
At the 2013 event, music legends (DJ Premier and Biz Markie) and industry stars (Morgan Page and Krewella) offered useful information to attendees during Expo keynotes and seminars, while sponsored events entertained Expo-goers. They included top-notch performances from: DJ Kool (at ADJ’s Pizzafest; DJ Premier and Biz Markie (at Stanton DJ’s booth); Morgan Page and Audien (at Moodswing360’s party); and Krewella (at House of Blues during Promo Only’s Summer Sessions event).
