Expo Talent: DJ Etronik will rock American DJ's PizzaFest

Atlantic City, N.J.—As DJ Expo preps for its latest edition—Aug. 13-16 at AC’s Trump Taj Mahal—another mainstay manufacturer will step up to the plate with an event that demonstrates its appreciation for its DJ-customers.

No one wants to party on an empty stomach, so American DJ and American Audio will present the first-annual ADJ Customer Appreciation PizzaFest. Set for 6 to 8 pm on Tuesday, Aug. 14, in the Taj’s Grand Ballroom, the event will feature free pizza, salad, garlic bread and veggies in a buffet-style setting for up to 1,000 guests with DJ Expo badges.

“There are a lot of parties and shows that start later Tuesday night,” says Brian Dowdle, marketing manager of American DJ and American Audio. “PizzaFest is our way of showing our appreciation to our DJ customers by providing them with some tasty, fun food and a place they can chill and relax before they head out to party.”

Set in the same area as the Expo’s seminars, the ADJ Customer Appreciation PizzaFest will feature food on a first-come, first-served basis. But be aware—once it’s gone, it’s gone! Free soft drinks will also be available, and for those who prefer something a little stronger, there will be cash bars in the ballroom.

The MC for this fun-for-all party is the one and only Sparky B, and he will have plenty of cool prizes and swag to give away to diners. Of course, ADJ wouldn’t dream of hosting a party without top-notch DJ entertainment, so former DMC champion DJ Etronik will provide smooth background grooves on American Audio’s new VMS4.1 Digital Work Station.

“Everyone loves pizza, and we’re excited to host this first annual PizzaFest at the DJ Expo,” says Dowdle. “It promises to be a really good time, with great food, great prizes and great entertainment by DJ Etronik. And you can’t beat the cost – it’s free!”

As it always has since its 1990 inception, the DJ Expo—produced by DJ Times and Testa Communications—will deliver four days of educational, DJ-specific seminars, three days of exhibits featuring the industry’s latest wares, and three nights of sponsored entertainment.
