After dropping a double dose of DJ-driven goodness this past week, this week’s Twitch show changes up the program as we visit with someone who’s been content to do the vital behind-the-scenes work for the DJ/music industry – Ms. Shari Aronin.
In the ’90s and early ’00s, Aronin ran (along with business partner Amanda Pearl) Hands On Deck, a New York City-based booking agency/management company, which handled some of the globe’s top underground DJs and booked legendary venues like Twilo. Shari’s next world-renowned venture, Involved Events, produced innovative charitable events and VIP experiences across the globe with the world’s top DJs, producers and record labels to benefit children worldwide, in partnership with UNICEF.
After spending a decade raising a family, she’s back in the game with IGNIGHTLIFE Presents INDUSTRY:FUEL, an immersive virtual event experience for dance-music professionals. Set for May 15 at 5 p.m. (EDT), IGNIGHTLIFE will feature 12 stages, Octane Lounge, industry booths (including one from DJ Times) and speed networking. Online performances will feature DJ sets from GusGus (Biggi Veira + Bjarki, Iceland), DJ Sneak (Chicago), and Jim “Shaft” Ryan and Jeff Jefferson (Miss Moneypenny’s/Pout, U.K.), among others.
