Missy Elliott’s triumphant appearance during Katy Perry’s Super Bowl Halftime Show earlier this month caused a tidal wave of media attention and fan pleas for new material, and Skrillex and Diplo have joined in on the fun with a remix of their Jack U single “Take U There” featuring the rapper.
The new remix’s instrumental is largely unchanged from the familiar festival-crushing original, keeping guest vocalist Kiesza’s soaring chorus during the song’s gargantuan build. Missy Elliott drops her fiery verses during the track’s whack-a-mole drop, with rave horns and pounding bass underlying the famed rapper’s delivery.
Stream the remix below ahead of its release on Thursday, February 19.
