The one-man band Motor City Drum Ensemble (a.k.a. MCDE) will grace the decks of Good Room in Brooklyn, New York this Friday, July 28 with his uniquely soulful take on house and techno.
New York-based DJ Paul Raffaele—founder of record label and fanzine Most Excellent Unlimited—will warm up the “Good Room” before MCDE takes over, while Person Of Interest, p.leone, and Cranks have been banished to the “Bad Room” for the entirety of the night.
Listen to the latest episode of Motor City Drum Ensemble’s monthly radio show “State of Rhythm” over at Worldwide FM, where he catches up with Tony Allen, legendary drummer and inventor of the Afrobeat, and plays a mellow set comprised solely of soulful jazz 45s for some supremely summery vibes.
