Atlantic City, N.J. – Nearly a month after DJX made public its commitment to the industry’s emerging and future talent with the launch of nXt at its upcoming show, details about the nXt Summer DJ Camp with Coach HAPA have emerged.

At DJX, the nXt Summer DJ Camp will provide students ages 13-19 with hands-on instruction from professional and celebrity DJs in a 90-minute session each day. Presented by DJ LIFE magazine and Hazan Media Group, DJX will be held Aug. 7-10, 2023, at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City, N.J.

With the esteemed Coach HAPA at the helm, the camp is designed to help nXt’s first class of students develop a love of music, while also developing and enhancing interpersonal skills that build confidence and focus. It will also help students articulate expression and learn patience, listening and organization, while also understanding the impact music can have on the lives of others. Open to students of all levels, course completion will culminate with a graduation certificate.

Limited to 40 students, the nXt Summer DJ Camp has a modest enrollment fee of $299, which also includes DJX “All-Access” passes to See, Hear & Connect with leading industry brands, dealers, and professional DJs throughout the show. Those registered will also have a chance for a performance opportunity at Atlantic City’s world-famous Steel Pier and, in collaboration with leading music-industry publisher Hal Leonard, receive a personally signed copy of Coach HAPA’s book, First 50 DJ Techniques You Should Know. Students will also be able to test-drive the latest in DJ gear and technology on the DJX exhibit floor. Also available to nXt students: Discounts to leading AC restaurants and local attractions; age-appropriate networking mixers; and complimentary lifetime subscriptions to DJ LIFE Mag’s digital issues, plus three industry-leading newsletters.

DJX and nXt organizers shared their enthusiasm for the new endeavor.

nXt’s Coach HAPA: “I’m so excited to be a part of nXt at DJX. As a career DJ myself, I understand the importance of passing on these skills to the next generations of DJs. The nXt program offers incredible resources and support for young DJs at all levels of experience and is helping to foster an inclusive environment for everyone in the community. I’m proud to be part of this movement!”

DJ LIFE Editor Jim Tremayne: “With this new initiative, DJX is the show that will offer a first glimpse of the industry’s future. And working with HAPA, one of the industry’s top educators, the nXt Summer DJ Camp is certainly in good hands.”

Hazan Media Group President/CEO Shawn Hazan: “With this commitment to the industry’s future, we’re asking the community of brands to support efforts around nXt. What’s important beyond DJ education is interpersonal development, building a bridge to and fortifying the future of the DJ industry.
